In the year 2021, I have chosen to live in God’s grace. Not just to have it, not only to live by it, not asking for it at difficult times, rather, to live in it.

I have heard different renditions of this song, and it never failed to make an imprint on me. But when I heard Michael W. Smith sing it, it hit differently.
I will one day have to talk about Michael W. Smith’s voice. His voice, its texture, the notes he hit, let’s just say when someone has been blessed with a gift, and he then perfects the use of it, its effect is always beautiful to behold.

This song is an epitome of the grace I want to live in. A life that is proud to acknowledge the power of an all-knowing, ever-present, and all-powerful God.
A life lived to the glory of a perfect God, reaching out to an imperfect man, and returning him to the status of the crown jewel of creation.

The power that takes the unqualified and prepares them, elevate them, then use them to change situations that have defied logic.
The holy oracle that demystifies the biggest mysteries, using the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.

This year, I want to give all of myself, my ability and inability, my strength and weakness, my wisdom and folly, everything that I am and can be, to the Father of all grace.
All I want is to live in grace. For my life to be an expression of the extravagance, that is when God chooses one to be a manifestation of His wonders.
