Hallelujah Eh – Nathaniel Bassey (Song Of The Day)
I am not a fan of the trumpet, it is easily one of my least-liked musical instrument, but Nathaniel Bassey is making me have a rethink. I have heard bits and pieces of this song at different places, but recently, while working on a project, I heard it again and just had to go search for it. I listened to it in full for the first time and spent the next couple of days listening exclusively to it on a continuous loop.
I love this song a lot, yet I find it very difficult to describe or write about it. Its wordings are quite a few for a Nathaniel Bassey piece, but the brass work is faultless. The beauty of this song is in its simplicity. Easy to understand, emotion-laden, inspiring, energetic, and just plain beautiful.
There is no need to keep trying to explain the indescribable.
Enjoy and be blessed.
Hallelujah Eh Lyrics:
[CHORUS]
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Hallelujah Eh! It’s the sound of victory
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Let the sound of rejoicing fill this house
[SOLO 1]
He has made a way
Where there was no way
Hallelujah Eh! It’s the sound of breakthrough
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Let the sound of rejoicing fill this house
[CHORUS]
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Hallelujah Eh! It’s the sound of victory
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Let the sound of rejoicing fill this house
[SOLO 2]
He has done for me
What no man has done
Hallelujah Eh! It’s the sound of freedom
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Let the sound of rejoicing fill this house
[Trumpet Interlude]
[CHORUS]
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Hallelujah Eh! It’s the sound of victory
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Let the sound of rejoicing fill this house
Shout to the Lord, all the earth
