I don’t think there is any country in the world that keeps producing songs celebrating and venerating Michael Jackson as Nigeria does.
Not even his home country, the USA.

Michael Jackson inspired lots of school, church, and street dance crews in Nigeria. When I was in high school, every “club day” witnessed each dance crew render an original or modified version of his dance. I don’t know if that is a culture that stands until today.

This was the song that introduced me to Bad Boy Timz. It got stuck in my head for so long, I had to leave it on loop for a full day.
When I found out there were remixes with Mayorkun and Teni, I spent another day playing through all three.

I wish he had gone ahead to release a video for all three versions, but I’ll settle for the remix with Mayorkun.
Thankfully, the video didn’t disappoint or underwhelm. It is pleasantly enjoyable and kept light-hearted.

There is no attempt to compete with the dancing ability of Michael Jackson. Instead, just like the song, a relaxed Lagos vibe is the feel.
Someone who isn’t energetic or exactly a dancer won’t feel out of place listening to or dancing along. I know a seventy years old Michael Jackson would enjoy dancing to this.
