You Have Faith In God, God Has Faith In You – Josh Journal
One sermon that would never stop in the Christian faith is to have faith in God. In the same vein, one sermon that is under preached in our churches is that God has faith in us.
I won’t be surprised if many people have actually never heard that before.
Why should God have faith in humans? What does He need from us that He needs faith for? He is God already, what does it mean for God to even have faith in humans?
When God said, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” He had faith in our ability to do exactly that.
He had created us with the potential to do that, and he trusted, believed, expected, that we would do that.
God expects that you would be successful. He has faith in you that you would use the ability He has given to you to be fruitful in all you do.
As you try to be successful, you have to do it with the knowledge that the creator of the universe is cheering you on. He has a vested interest in you being successful.
When you are an all-around success, He can show you off to the rest of creation and say, “look at my creation”.
If you look through the Bible, you will see lots of passages where God admires and shows off flowers, birds, the skies, mountains, springs, oceans, and more.
If humans are the crown of creation, the ones He created in His own image, why wouldn’t He want to show them off even more?
“Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”
That was God showing off His creation to the devil.
The 11th chapter of Hebrews is a highlight of those God was most proud of up to that point in history. These were people who had lived up to God’s faith in them.
He was proud of them and wanted their story to reverberate through history.
If another Hebrews 11 was about to be written for this age, would you repay God’s faith in you? Would you make the cut? Is there something worth writing down about you?
God created you for a purpose, He believes you can achieve that purpose, even when you doubt yourself, He still believes in you.
When God reassured Moses of his ability in Exodus 4:11, Moses insisted he wasn’t capable. In doing that, God was upset with him.
Stop angering God. Stop disappointing Him. Don’t let His deposit and faith in you go to waste.
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
Isaiah 43:2 KJV
If He didn’t have faith in you, why would he bother being with you through thick and thin?
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10 KJV
As much as you have faith in God, He also has faith in you. The same way you don’t want Him to disappoint you, don’t disappoint Him too.
God no go shame us. We sef no go shame God.
