To-Don’t List (Word For The Week)
The “To-Don’t List” is exactly what you think it is. It is a list of everything you will not be doing. An exact opposite of the “To-Do List”.
This list can be inspired by a decision to change your habit, a desire for something better, or plain laziness and procrastination.
The “To-Don’t List” can be philosophical or whimsical. It can be a reflection of intellectual advancement or ineptitude.
In summary, it summarizes you just as well as a to-do list would.
You might be wondering, of what value is a to-don’t list? Why exactly do I need one?
Most times, when we plan, we place a lot of emphasis on what we want to do. It is only when we find ourselves doing things we hoped not to do that we begin to scrutinize it.
They say those that fail to plan, plan to fail. Planning should encompass what should be done and what shouldn’t.
Especially when you are trying to drop a bad habit, or pick a good one.
At this point of the year, you should be going through your to-do list and seeing how far you have come.
If you need help achieving more, then maybe it is time to draw up a to-don’t list.
