When I talk about drugs, this includes alcohol, marijuana, painkillers, downers, uppers, and sleeping pills.
The danger of overdosing or mixing up drugs that are not meant to go with each other is ever-present. This has resulted in many accidental suicides.

In my opinion, the best way to get over a heartbreak is to confront the feeling. Where possible, discuss with the other person to thrash things out.
When that isn’t a choice, look for healthy ways to dig into your emotions.

Talk with friends. The sensible ones. We all know which friends are useless in situations like this.
Write about it. List out how you are feeling. Revisit the beginning, as well as every milestone in the relationship as well as the end. Write a letter to your past and future self. There just might be a bestseller among everything you are writing.

Cry if it relieves you. Even if it doesn’t, but you still feel like doing it, cry. Indulge in movies or music; whichever rocks your boat.
Whatever the case, try to stay healthy.

If you were on an exercise regimen before, don’t stop. Don’t eat excessively, even if it seems comforting. Don’t oversleep or deprive yourself of sleep. You still need to look good, because life goes on.
And if you have routines in your life before now, now is not the time to throw them out. If you don’t have them, this might be a great time to start one.

The most important thing in all of these is your health. Physical, mental, and spiritual.
Turning to pills N potions is not going to do any good. Momentarily, maybe. Long-term, definitely no.
It is someone alive that falls in love again. Don’t go pulling a “Romeo and Juliet” on us.
