THE GOOD LIFE WEEKLY SPECIAL

HE PREPARETH A TABLE BEFORE ME

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want… He prepareth a table before me, in the presence of mine enemies: what next?
God’s love for us is so massive, he chooses to use you as a canvas to paint a picture of extravagant grace. In the face of your naysayers, your haters, beefers, “bad belles” and all of your enemies, he choose to prepare a table for you.
On special occasions, when you have special guests, the kind of guests that makes your mum pull out the plates that no one else uses. The kind of guests that your mum begins to cook by seven in the morning, knowing they won’t arrive until three in the afternoon.
When your mum sets out the meal for such occasions, she will gladly tell you that she has prepared a table.
When God in His mighty mysterious way, choose to give you things that you have desired for a long time, your desires that your foes have taunted you that you will never get. When God blesses you with successes that are ordinarily beyond your reach, when He chose to do this on a mighty scale, in a way that it cannot be hidden.
When God chooses to set this beautiful, bountiful table of wonderful provision, protection, promotion, prosperity and power before you, in the presence of your enemies, what should be your reaction?
Poke them? Tease them? Tempt them? Torment them? What happened to if your enemy hunger, feed him? If he is thirsty, give him drink?
If you are created in God’s image, you wouldn’t have a problem with forgiving the past and sharing from the blessings of today. You won’t seek revenge, cos “vengeance is mine, I will repay says the Lord.”
In summary, if truly The Lord has prepared a table before you, in the presence of your enemies…
1. Don’t drive them to rage with anger, bitterness and jealousy.
2. Don’t give them an opportunity to poison your meal.
