Happy Happy New Year – Josh Journal

Today is the seventh day of 2021, and to conclude the introductory part of Josh Journal, I want to wish you a Happy-Happy New Year.
Seriously.
This year, I sincerely want you to be happy.

The last year was a struggle for lots of us. There were too many loses. From famous deaths to the personal loss of friends and relatives that left people shattered. I experienced a couple that has burdened me with the emotional well being of some folks.

From protests around the world to the #EndSARS protest here in Nigeria, that ended with the massacre at the Lekki Still Gate on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
Lives lost there are the true heroes who we pray their labour and ultimate sacrifice would not be in vain.

There was also the Covid-19 pandemic from which the world is yet to recover. Stock markets around the world are recovering, but people are still struggling to pick up the remnants of their lives.
Countries are even going back into lockdown, though with vaccines being administered now, we hope this batch of lockdown gets lifted sooner rather than later.

I don’t want to go further into the past year, I chose rather to look forward in hope and belief.

For you, I pray that you find true happiness this year. With it, everything else you desire. A good relationship, marriage, children, business success, career progression, satisfaction from your hobbies, good health, personal development, educational progress, spiritual growth and relationship with God.

And when you count your blessings at the end of this year, I want you to do it with tears of joy running down your cheeks, your brows and chins having new wrinkles from smiling too much, and your side and ribs hurting from laughter.
