Cabbage And Garbage – RHETORICS

There is a startling revelation that dawned on me recently. Should I call it cabbage in, garbage out?
How do you pronounce cabbage? But how does your neighbour pronounce it? And how does the seller pronounce it?
Have you heard the Mai Suya pronounce it as he offers to slice it into your suya?
What in the garbage is wrong with y’all? Who exactly taught Nigerians that cabbage is pronounced garbage?
Why exactly do we do this? Why didn’t they just give it another name like we do with other stuff?
If you know what a garbage is, would you want to eat it? Then why are you calling cabbage garbage?
If you can’t pronounce it, why not ask for the right pronunciation? Or why not point at it? And for those who are corrected, but refused to change, what is the ‘OS version of your problem?
As someone who doesn’t even eat it normally, why does hearing it pronounced wrongly get to me this much?
And on a final note, can we just initiate a policy of “if you can’t pronounce it, you can’t eat it”?
